This World Heritage Site was given to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough as a gift from Queen Anne following his victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. It was where former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill was born and is surrounded by over 2000 landscaped parkland and has beautiful formal gardens.
